Hello Tulpehocken School District!!!!
My name is Doreen Deola and I am the Food Service Director for the District.
Although I am new to the District, I have over 20 years of Food Management experience as well as a BS degree from Penn State in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. I am very excited to be here and to be a part of the Tulpehocken Team.
Proper nutrition is a key component in ensuring the good health of our children. I am anxious to continue to develop the Food Service program here at Tulpehocken in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Education guidelines as well as the Wellness Policy which was implemented during the last school year. We are in Year 1 of the Guidelines for Nutritional Standards this school year.
The Wellness Committee is working on some new and exciting events for the 2007-2008 school year as well.
I look forward to meeting and working with all of you.
