I am excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Penn-Bernville Elementary School. Over the past 15 years, I have worked as a teacher and elementary education consultant. I earned a BA in Elementary Education from Alvernia University, a Masters degree in Education from Cabrini College, and my principal certification from Drexel University. I started my career in the Reading School District as a Reading First Literacy Coach, with a focus on grades K-3. During this time, I was not only in the classroom with teachers and students, but I also provided support to parents in early literacy skills. I then moved into the Governor Mifflin School District where I taught Kindergarten for the past 9 years. However, my greatest achievement comes not professionally, but personally, as I am mother of 2 amazing children: Bradley (13) and Magdalyn (10).
In the coming year, I will spend a lot of time getting to know your children and their personalities, learning styles, and interests. I cannot wait to celebrate all of their successes. My goal is to guarantee that all children are happy and safe, so they can learn to their greatest potential. This has been my philosophy since beginning my career in teaching and will continue to be my focus as your children’s principal.
