    BOARD OFFICERS

    Kyle Batz  - President - Jefferson and Tulpehocken Townships Region
    Kyle Batz is a 2002 graduate of Tulpehocken Area School District and has continued to live in Tulpehocken Township with his family. He has a daughter and son in the Tulpehocken School District. Kyle, along with his family are  local business owners. His hobbies include snowmobiling, watersports, and spending time with his family at the beach and the family cabin. 

    William T. Palmer, Jr. - Vice President - Penn Township and Bernville Borough Region
    William Palmer has served on the Tulpehocken Area School District Board of Directors for 22 years.  He is a graduate of Tulpehocken.  William and his wife are farmers and live in Penn Township.

    Chris Heck - Treasurer - Jefferson and Tulpehocken Townships Region
    Chris Heck is serving his third term as a school board member.  He is a Tulpehocken graduate and is employed as an HVAC Technician.  Chris resides in Tulpehocken Township with his wife and two children.

    April Klopp - Secretary - Bethel Township Region
    April Klopp has lived in Bethel for 34 years and has two boys that attended and graduated from Tulpehocken Area School District. April and her husband are business owners and active community members. April served seven years as a PTO officer and served on the Tulpehocken Education Foundation Board of Directors. She enjoys spending time with her family and their dog.

    REGION 1 - Penn Township and Bernville Borough Region

    Christopher Beitler - Penn Township and Bernville Borough Region
    Chris and his wife Sherry have lived in the district since 2005.  They have one son who currently attends Tulpehocken High School.  Chris has career in management and along with his wife operate a family farm. Chris is grateful for the opportunity to serve and provide responsible leadership that will help benefit our students and the community.

    Kristan Rissmiller - Penn Township and Bernville Borough Region
    Kristan Rissmiller is joyfully married to her husband and has lived in Penn Township 15 years. She was born and raised in Exeter Township and graduated from Liberty University. She has 1 son and 1 daughter who graduated from Tulpehocken. She appreciates a small, farming community and their work ethic and how we can all get to know each other and work together. She works part time for a medical office and full time for her family! She believes that being on the school board is a service to her neighbors and the community. She enjoys having fun with her family and watching them learn and flourish! She also enjoys being outside, water skiing, gardening projects, being with her husband, animals, and various church activities. 

    REGION 2 -  Jefferson and Tulpehocken Townships Region

    Matthew Hetrick - Jefferson and Tulpehocken Townships Region
    Matthew Hetrick and his wife Vanessa have lived their whole lives in the Tulpehocken Area School District.  He is a dairy farmer and has four children.  Two of his children attend Penn - Bernville Elementary.  He is looking forward to serving on the Tulpehocken Board of Directors. 

    REGION 3 - Bethel Township Region

    Harry (Rusty) Fox - Bethel Township Region
    Harry Fox, Jr. is part of the 4th generation of his family to be born, raised, and reside within Bethel Township, Berks County.  He and all four of his siblings attended Tulpehocken Area School District.  He and his wife Julie along with their three children reside within the district, and their daughter attends Bethel Elementary.  Harry is currently the General Manager of a precast concrete company, producing critical underground infrastructure components.  Other hobbies include coaching baseball, hunting, trapping, and enjoying time with his wife and kids. 

    Carl Kauffman - Bethel Township Region
    Carl Kauffman is a 1990 graduate of Tulpehocken Area School District.  He went to BCTC for Electronics Technology for which he pursued a career as a TV and appliance technician.  He is a life long resident of Bethel Township.  He has two boys that graduated from Tulpehocken Area School District, and they both attended BCTC as well.  His two sons are both Eagle Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 489.  Carl served as Bethel Township supervisor from 2012 to 2018.  He is looking forward to serving the students, parents, and staff of Tulpehocken Area School District.
