Chief Operating Officer

Matthew

Mr. Matthew Shirk

Mr. Shirk joined the administrative team in 2018.  Prior to his role as Chief Operating Officer, Matt served as Director of Technology and a technology support specialist for the district since 2011.   Outside of Tulpehocken, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife Kayla, daughter Hayden and Jordyn, and 2 dogs, Gemma(Boxer) and Luna(French Bulldog). Matt also enjoys playing soccer and fastpitch softball.

Systems Administrator

Young

Mr. Sean Young

Mr. Young originally joined the Tulpehocken Area School District in 2018. Started in 2018 as IT Support Specialist, and transitioned to Junior Systems Administrator in 2021, then left for a year. Finally, Mr. Young returned in 2022 as Senior Systems Administrator. Outside of Tulpehocken, Sean enjoys working out and playing video games with his wife.

Zackary

Mr. Zachary Eckel

Mr. Eckel joined the Tulpehocken Area School District in 2021 as an IT Support Specialist. When not fixing technology-related issues, Zach enjoys watching soccer, reading, playing video games, and spending time with his four cats; Bootz, Willow, Leo, and Lily.

Technology Support Teacher

Engelbert

Mrs. Jennifer Engelbert

Mrs. Engelbert joined the Tulpehocken Area School District in 2004. She was an elementary teacher at Penn Bernville and Bethel Elementary before becoming the Technology Support Teacher for the district. Outside of Tulpehocken Jen enjoys spending time with her husband, Drew and Australian Shepherd, Franklin.
